Just like to suggest that when giving tips and advice you should not take ANYTHING for granted.
I have read many guides and tips and had conversations with people who know whats what and yet even so, I have struggled to make my chosen path pay its way.
As that path was Dual SMG's (a universally panned path) I just put it down to the old 'well that discipline sucks, what do you expect!?' and carried on regardless. (cos I am stubborn that way).
However, when I came back after a short abscence I found my hotbars were all screwed and had to do a fair bit of re-jigging and re-thinking because I was so rusty and had forgotten all my usual habits.
This was great!
As I started from scratch I discovered 2 icons/abilities/skills (whatever) that I had not realised I had!!
I applied them and re-jigged my bars and found I was clearing mission rooms in less than half the time I was used to, and even better...when I joined the Tabor firefight last night I lasted at least a minute longer in every PVP fight than I ever had before!!!!
I am sure that every guide I read and every experienced player I talked to just assumed I knew about these basic abilities that I needed as a Dual SMG,er and didn't think it worth mentioning, but that brings me back to my point.
Please spell it out and take nothing for granted when giving advice.
A lot of people dont't like to seem dumb and ask questions they think will get them laughed at, and sometimes the most obvious things are the hardest to see. I spent weeks looking at SMG's and still didn't get a good enough handle on it to make it worth a crap. I only stuck with it because SMG Interlock looks so awesome and stylish!
I would rather die stylishly and repeatedly than win with a dull or freakish weapon/ability.
Remember...SPELL IT OUT AND ASSUME THEY KNOW NOTHING!
That's me speaking for the terminally inept and nOOb!
Cheers!
