No Org a choice a purpose?!

Didn't want to start a new thread (do dev's read this ?) but didn't see another related. I am QUITE UNHAPPY with today's patch for I feel a few most important reasons. I am speaking about the CHOICE i have made for my path I have chosen to join no org.

I have worked hard these 25 levels on being truly neutral an as such have planned to benefit from PVP by selling out my services as a doctor helping sway a pvp clash. Let me explain: With no org in pvp I can not attack nor be attacked I have no org tag as i am loyal to none and can still heal / buff whom ever I choose. Now you tell me i will be automatically zion?! this has singly ruined a month of play time and the whole PURPOSE of my character. zion is overpopulated on every server I have played on and I am not given a choice. I am already penalized for not choosing to have an org if you don't want people to have a CHOICE then make us choose don't nerf us left and right. Bad enough with out an org. I get virtually no discernable live event info. until i read it has just passed on http://thematrixonline.warnerbros.com/web/live/index.jsp

I am a hacker, my playground is the matrix. Zion except for the occasional cave orgy is a drab boring place. In other ways I want to assure the balance and existence of the matrix. It is this REASON I CHOOSE no org. Now if i select an org my stats with them all are horrid and i will never able to make it up so what remake my character again?!

Look folks I own 3 MxO acct's (2 sons) we play together and have all made this decision together. If MxO doesn't want peeps to make this org CHOICE then don't leave it as an option in game play! We are at a disadvantage in the following ways ....

1. I can not start my own crew, this keeps us from being a serious part of any of the world shaping aspect of the game.

2. Not getting important live event info or benefits that are given through org's.

3. Not having a voice in the game in forums such as this one.

4. Not being informed on general use and game play (things that only come from experience in game play) as no uber fraction leaders to ask questions of etc.

5. (this strait from my 11 yr old) they are making the game not fun for me anymore there are too many zion.

A note on that I can't seriously choose zion on proxy Zion is a joke they are as roaches too many they stand around new red pill HL's and give crew invites (with no prior tell I might add) to new red-pills with no clue just for the sake of their silly faction #'s this as a red-pill and as a avid MMORPG player in general very offensive! Zionists with faction names have ninja looted me (stealing loot whilst I am locked in combat). KSed (Kill Stealing), offered to help with a difficult camp during the corrupted attack only to not invite me and called faction to steal my camp. I find zion largely made up of undisciplined, RUDE peeps for the most part. I am sorry their are some of you that are real stand up gamers much respect to you but please you are out of touch with the lower level of game play and your org has become a joke. Get to work faction leaders PLEASE.

SONY PLEASE LISTEN I currently pay for 5 EQ acct's 2 EQ2 acct's and 3 MxO acct's. does this count for anything?!!!
(before you smart arsh peeps start on that I like to play with/ friends and family in the real. I am disabled and this IS my social life, ........ my choice /grin.

If you do not want Mercs in the game don't put NPC's in the game telling me a merc is a viable option for game play if you do not make the peeps who choose no org for their game play then force us to choose at RSI creation! I personally am willing to help with input on how we may play an important part in the MxO world too.

Well that's just my two pieces of info. send me a tell in game if your choice is no org lets hook up see if we still have a part in this game eh? Freejack2600 (you will find a version of this name on most every server) with red hair and a nose piercing and tats. (it's all me, me, me, ....... and me too)

I have to agree. When this game was in development I had grand thoughts of being like you. Down the middle, no affiliation, but they soon put an end to that. You technically start Zion and then had to choose.

Then to get better missions you have to choice one of the oganization. But if you went through the whole process to get to Level 25 (that's no easy task) with a major organizational affiliation that should be rewards and not destroyed in one fell swoop.

I wasn't aware that as a neutral you couldn't participate in battles, but could act as a neutral patcher. Look's like they didn't want people influencing the battles from the outside.

Would a 'neutral' organization be a viable option for you?

First I would like to say,The devs have said in the past they do read this forum occasssionaly, but fear not Draconis is the leader of this world..And as such you can rant and rave all you want here and possibly get support from it and definantly not get flamed for it.. :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:

Sedcondly, I would Like to Congratulate you on a hard road you have walked thus far. I have a dear friend that has also chosen the same path and it is quite painful to hear that all hear hard work to have no org. affiliation has just gone down the gutters(Im sure she will chime in on this)..And whats even sadder is for those players on hostile servers..Since they are always flaaged for PvP are they always Zionist..If so this patch fix makes absolutely no sense..

Now I have seen posts on the Official forums related to this topic and some of the questions that have stuck out to me were.1)What is the official RP stance of those who choose to be Merc's, From what hoverbarge/hovercraft do they jack in at...To this I would like to say there are plenty of Characters in the matrix that neither choose a side nor have to Jack in..So that question is null, as long as you can comeup with a good story, there is no qualm there..2) Its not fair that certain players cant be attacked while the rest of us can be(hostile servers and PvP events)...I dont see the point of that, If a player choses to play a certain way that doesnt exploit anything and doesnt really affect your game play why should it matter how they play..No whats really not fair is that the people who choose this path arent given more support from the developers with such things like live events and missions, and now wont receive any it at all and yet they still pay for the game...

Well just some of my thoughts..Feel free to post here anytime regarding your concerns and ideas..

If enough peolpe have a concern about this maybe we can get a petition together to change it..

First off I want to thank you for the support. The path I chose is a hard one true enough but gamer that freejack2600 is does like a challenge. And had become a full blown coder / selective phlange / and guardian patcher, and a nice spy line as well in his almost 1 month of playing. Should I need to remake my toon I may seek a new server home, Knowing now to join a chosen org early on. I am open for suggestions here and wonder if a crew will even have such a seemingly undecided (though in reality quite focused) in their ranks. wink focused nudge nudge ........... I must wonder though why this path was not met to play a serious role in the (inner game). I enjoy the bits of info I hack and things I learn from non org contacts give much depth and realism to the game but is it all just fluff? I was rather hope for substance.

Well as i logged in this am after my rant I found myself aligned with the merovingian. I suppose my negative rating was a bit less with frenchy. So saying I am clueless at this time. Im trying to hang in there a bit and see what happens. My plan for this toon (mind you I am a serious gamer and much thought went into Freejack2600 ) is in shambles. Though Free as many call me (ironic huh) does still take much joy in helping new unfactioned red-pills with gear, support advice and encouragement to "Stay Free" had a blast today helping folks with those pesky Zion critical missions, whilst blasting away at my newfound merve org status. (wonder how many machine and zion missions i can still do before I am no longer of that distinction) Oh yes are you on proxy need help form someone who doesn't sleep much you know the name I will be happy to help, and it will take my mind off my current identity theft as it were. =D

Though proxy server does not tout it's role playing their are those that play the game to its fullest. So Freejack2600 is a bit outspoken and can be often found preaching his beliefs from a vantage point in mara c, naturally some "have heard of me". Well I was in tell hell as i jacked in today with some Zionists gloating over my loss and trying to get me in their various factions. On proxy Zion is prevalent though it seems Morpheous has his own following but factioned with zion If you are a faction leader of any of the "big 3" org's of some standing I would really like to have some of you speak with me from time to time and exchange thoughts and ideas and share info (not the spending kind unless you really need it) I am going to try to keep Freejack2600 and I do need this input. I am sure you will find me open to many paths as me purpose is balance though I do not fully understand why i I have made this choice, Fate perhaps? I believe We Machines Humans and Exiles alike have life in the matrix. I believe how ever it came about we are all meant to be. Zion do not let the machines attempt to wipe out the exiles you need them, and the machines you created them. Machine leaching off Humans in pods is just wrong in any light. Though it was once said that they may be better off at this point,(ignorance is bliss) certainly not those who begin to "awaken" on their own. (I know I was horrified at the zion life and couldn't wait to jack back in and go home as it were).
And as for the Frenchman you need him as well and in essence you machines and to that end humans created the exiles. Frenchy knows more about the matrix than anyone. And to my newfound org and I might add who came to me in person to welcome me a place in his organization, impressed me far more than a carbon copy or a phone call as a welcome. I goes without saying that you need the cooperation between the other for your existence. This is the purpose of Freejack to uphold and be a vital part of this delicate balance.

Dracinos I thought from the start that this was an angle that had a vital part of the overall story as the content is rich in this area especially for hackers and actually "hacking" in MxO. I think "the Wachowski brothers"are so passionate in I suspect all aspect of their lives would have had the neutral just as important and event changing as the "big 3" orgs Yes at this point anything to keep Freejack2600 alive I felt that their was in fact one though we were not equipped with the functionality and communication as the other organizations. When you hire a merc you understand you are getting a needed job done that may be too Hmmm sensitive to be directly be involved with. Let me tell you now I have shed blood for all three none are innocent and all of you have sent me to even shall we say "take care" of one of your own. I look forward to a way to weave this I believe as a hacker vital role into the story.

I conclude my rant now and am thankful for this board and look forward to being a part of it. Who knows maybe fate again. I had been lurking a bit heh.

Ello' again folks just an update on whats been happening with me and my crew. I suppose all know by now that the PVP org tag is not zion by default unless there is 0 your zion critical missions. from there on it what ever the lowest negative rating.
T his is a good thing as we have learned a way around this by keeping my org rating within a few points of each other we can do 1 mission for whichever we want the tag for PVP.
IE: if all my org ratings are say -60 and i want to help zion in a PVP i do 1 mission for zion as there is a balance machine mission = +1 for machine org -2 for Merovingian, and -1 for zion etc.

Now i still have to use creative RPG skills to learn about things for the various factions but we have done just this and it is quite amazing what a hacker can find that is trade-able information (not the spending kind).

Balance is good and a note from Freejack to all faction leaders.
We humans created the machines, and upon reaching a state of sentience, rejected them (less than honorable i think)
In like manner, the machines created the exiles and upon achieving sentience rejected them. : (
My point is we all are alive and well in the matrix now and we must respect one another My crew and I will be seeing to that as our purpose is balance.

Draconis, any word yet on a possible truly neutral organization strictly for the purpose of not missing valuable information, events, items, and most of all a fair chance to be part of the "inner game" that is to be a vital role in MxO? I greatly support and am willing to work for this but need some direction.

Well that a very interesting turn of events with the 'default' organization for PvP taken from your least negative REP. I'm sure that wasn't thought about by the dev's and does offer a person some interesting choices during gameplay. As it seems you've found. You can play the sides even more now and if only a mission away from safety (lots of Zionists) or danger other organizations.

A sneaky person could taunt people on an opposite org and then do a mission and end up on their side... strange bedfellows.

Truely neutral org... well I've received no news and it's been talked about by fellow MxO gamers since they first announcement the ORG's back in BETA. Maybe with the growing events and storyline, the masked gangs & assassin a truely neutral or play all sides org can be born.

But with this 'neutral' ORG I could see a double edged sword where they could target all other ORG's and all other ORG's could target them. So would be maybe ganked by all ORG greifers....

I hope it does come to some better arrangement than that though for all concerned. Feedback petitions are the key and public discussions.

Ello' again fellow red-pills, quick update on whats going on. My small crew and i, as some of you may know operate near the surface in an, undisclosed location (for obvious reasons), have until now been a crew in deed only due to the fact that we do not wholly support one organization over another.

Balance is our goal, keeping the matrix as it is.
We believe strongly that all created beings have a right, a purpose in living and for this the matrix must go on.

Today however one of our own had an organization rating of 16 with the Merovingian, figuring that we could change this back to no org, as i have noticed the details on some red-pills having a crew but no org. We share this goal. Well our spy who wishes to remain nameless started the crew, made yours truly captain my org. My ratings were zion - 65 / mero -67 / machine -112 our ghostly spy is below lvl 15 so all ratings were fairly low. here are the results the org tag for mero stuck neither of us now have an org tag merely for pvp we are labeled. Naturally we will try to get our non-org status to its former left-out of everything glory. /smirk Soon after i did much work for, erm a mister Grey. thinking that would knock the tag off us as individuals, lol nope.

I would personally like some feedback from some of you operating in the matrix that have a crew with no org. status please reply here or contact me via aim in game as freejack2600 _proxy instance of the matrix

To that end, equivalent exchange is now recruiting! =D Please serious believers in our cause of balance and the right of all sentient beings dwelling, or frequenting the matrix and its related constructs need apply.
Positions currently open are Patcher, Proxy Coder, Spy, Tanks (you know who you are)
Level or gear is not important we will help with that. Most of us enjoy the role-play aspect of the game (shame not to with a MMORPG of this proportion). We will want to meet you in game and run a few missions etc. with you before you decide to join our crew, and before we decide that you are right for us as well. You may expect to have a friendly duel or two with us, as we like to be kept on our toes, the matrix can be a very dangerous place and it's good to know who has your back.
One thing more friends hacker that I am I believe sleep is way overrated and tends to make me careless and sluggish so the time you play is not that important we will work around that.

Other than that I expect you are not like the masses you probably know that the rabbit hole is indeed very deep, shovel owners preferred.

In all the news about the game i read before purchase, it always said that you will be a Zionist by default until you started doing missions.

I wasn't sure you could do what you were doing. Either way, they have fixed it now :?
