Some of you may have already heard the bad news but the MxO community has lost one of its greatest members. TasteeWheat is no more. He was shot by an agent for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The ZMF has also been hacked by the machines and is no longer online. Although he did not leave a will as to what to do for his funeral I figured the best place to have it would be in a place he enjoyed throwing parties. Club Hel.

On January 21st at 7pm EST 6pm CST 4pm PST and midnight GMT on the Syntax server we will open up club hel. You will have one hour to get into the club. I ask that people start lining up in the garage about 30 min before the hour begins. Once it is time to open the club people will be invited in. If you’re late and miss the hour time span sorry but we won’t be able to open it back up. Once the hour is up we will start. In the event that your crash after the hour is up I’m sorry but we wont be able to let you back in. If a lot of people crash we will try it again. If I crash we will try it again. I ask that you all take lots of pictures there but at the same time you might want to turn your graphics down to average or “suck” Hope to see you all there o and there is a dress code. Wear all black it’s a funeral

nah way I see my self going out is spaming how to use exploits in mara C. btu thats not till I out live Avat Arkiya and a few others guys on MxO and jsut loose all faith in it. ^^

Nevermind, saw matrixreport.com. Mutha Fucka's ... a real loss for the community.

Don't worry in a few weeks time when they fuck up MxO with their SWGing of the system you'll be glad you are saving that money!

As I posted in the main forums, TW will be greatly missed. The community will never be the same...

I also agree with Code. Not that I had much in the first place, but any remaining faith I had in the CSR system is now gone. I've heard of too many strange incidents, unfair/unbalanced punishments, and cases of CSRs overstepping their bounds lately.

None of us players know why the punishments for doing wrong aren't consistent, from our perspective and limited knowledge. We are not privvy to the behind-the-scenes workings of policy enforcement. Therefore, it is ridiculous and non-productive for the community at large to point fingers and pretend we do know what's going on behind the scenes.

Let us not belittle ourselves by playing Telephone. Keep to the facts: The MxO community has lost TW. Plain and simple. Let's not muddy her passing with gossip.

1. Why isn't TasteeWheat putting up more of a fight? If he were truly against what happened, why isn't hey even saying so? Why isn't he making more of a voice? Is it possible that if TasteeWheat himself agrees with the CSRs actions, that CSR was just and fair?
While being banned from all SOE games isn't my first choice for anything. It is their game.. they own it and can do whatever they want. It is not like I didn't do anything wrong. In a way my ban is actually a good thing for me. I spent way too much time in MxO. MMO's (even buggy ones) can be addicting. It is amazing to see the support from the community. I'll say it again.. best MMO community ever. The main reason I was even involved with MxO was for the story line. PvP was usually not my first choice for things to do in the matrix. Luckily it looks like the Matrix Story line will be made public by the community and SOE so I can still find out when Morpheus comes back and puts the hurt on the Merv (unless Niobe does it..)

2. Would there be a thread like this if TasteeWheat was just JohnDoeRSI? People preach against favoritism. But giving TW "leeway" just because of his significant contributions to the community, while perma-banning JohnDoeRSI is fair?
Probably not. Showing leniency for previous contributions doesn't always happen. Even on first offenses.

3. Is, if ever was, permanent banning fair? I play by the rules as much as possible in MxO, but I'd hate to think what would happen if I were caught. Exploiting is wrong, and consequences should follow. But I am too deep a fan of the Matrix Experience to bend over and accept the perma-ban stick. I think TasteeWheat should be allowed back if he shows remorse for what he did and a true desire to be let back in. That being said...
I don't know how much of a desire I have to start spending over $30 a month again. I knew what I was doing. And I will probably move on with my life unless I get an email from SOE saying.. hey.. never mind we meant a 10 day ban or something like that. (Not likely)

4. Was he warned before this in another similar incident?
Nope, never received a real warning on anything I did... which is a little crazy considering the whiteroom parties, the tutorial screenshots and so on... But I knew what I was doing. It isn't like I could say I had no idea it was an exploit.

Another consequence of all this is it appears that I have been kicked out of the Winter Brood Faction--or at least my forum account was disabled today (which I would assume it means I'm kicked out). Course it wasnt disabled until I posted a "hi" message responding to an awesome animtaed gif made by one of the brood members. So I guess they don't want to talk to me anymore. That actually is sadder then the MxO ban. Sad

Not talking? Yeah, I agree that is sadder. But even though I've never spoken to TW directly. Never had the pleasure. I do know about all of the things done by the infamous TW and I and my character will mourn a great loss to the community.

I crossed path's with TW more than once (end of linenoise party was kick ass by the way!) Even if he did do a few thigns that werent the most.... ethical it was always reported. So what if someone gets greedy once? Anyway I should be at the funeral. I'll miss ya Wheat. always a character Wink

The amount of shit that you could have done, and still can do and not done. Really is a kick in the pants when you really got no prior 'official' warning like others have in the past.
