Don't edit that file as it will be over-writen each patch.  You need to create the new file as indicated for the changes to stick.

drac is right, u need to create the useropt file yourself and not edit the options file or else every time theres a patch the changes will be deleted.

Damn guys,  am I stupid or just not getting somthing thats obvious to everyone else.

I created the file (useropt.cfg) w/ notepad and placed it in the correct dir. I cut'n pasted the line code directly into it.  Even made sure the extention was correct.

no go.

I then removed all the lines w/ the # symbol (act of desperation) while leaving the spaces 'tween the code groups.

no go

I then began screaming, ranting and pulling my hair out before slaming my forehead into the desktop as a sacrifice to the Computer Gods.

no go ..........  go figure.

What am I doing wrong? Please..... anyone

Thx, Nittuo

Are you sure you named the file correct.  Also make sure you have 'view file extension of known types' selected in your folder options and your file isn't called useropt.cfg.txt

yea, when you save it from notepad, make sure to select all files instead of .txt (right below the name you give it). Also, what's the one for turning AA on automatically  :?:

Auto AA=

AntiAliasFSOverSample   = 2
AntiAliasFSQuality      = 2

the number at the end determines the quality of the AA, the only 2 i know of are 2 and 4, dunno if 6 will work, havnt tried and rely cant b bothered lol.
