MxO lead developer and story writer Ben Chamberlain (aka Rarebit) recently posted a great summarisation of The Matrix Online's storyline to date, by both chapter and subchapter.

Do bear in mind however that this is merely a summary and for a far more involving and in depth experience you should head on down to your local Archivist Vendor in-game and start playing the Archival Missions available there, now with no negative effect to your organizational reputation!

Not only that but the story continues weekly so the only way to truly keep your pulse on the happenings within The Matrix is to keep on playing and keep on ringing those controllers every Thursday!
