The keys will be going out to those signed up to the MxO newsletter within the next couple days. When they do, we will have a limited number, but we'll try to get them out to as many people as we can on a first come first serve basis until our supply runs out.

Rather then have a number of different request threads, everyone who is interested in obtaining a trial key, please post your request here.
DO NOT submit your request to anyone in a PM or email as it WILL NOT be answered.
Limit one key per person.

The buddy keys will be sent out via Private Message. Please don't list your email address when requesting a key as it will not be used.

To those who are willing to share their keys, when fufilling requests please take the next person down the thread who has not received a key, and post here your intent to do so before sending it to them so as to avoid someone getting sent multiple keys.

I have been signed up to the newsletter for yonks (tm Apoc) and have never recieved either a newsletter, nor a Buddy key.
Is there any info or advice on how to correct this problem?
I would be happy to give away any keys I recieve if problem gets fixed.

Make sure you've allowed "[email protected]" to get through any filters, i've heard quite a few people found their newsletters in their spam folders xD

-If you have buddy keys you are not planning on using PLEASE donate them to either a requestee here or to Reikira/Myself for distribution.

Yeah-I'm in the same situation as everyone else: in need of a buddy key, but I'm not complaining. I think you guys have everything under control and you will probably get buddy keys out to almost everyone who wants one. I've really been interested in trying out this game-it looks like its the mmo for me. Can't wait to play. I would really like a buddy key-so keep me in mind. I'm just trying to follow your directions-I signed up for the newsletter at station and I'm officially requesting a key here. Thanks for reading. I'm this close to touching that mirror and getting the silver goup on my fingers and finally jacking into the matrix for the first time. Do you guys think most everybody will get keys?

I'm still a little confused if you don't mind me asking: You said; you'll start getting them as soon as we get them-or along that lines, but where are you getting the buddy keys from again?: the players who send theirs to you guys? or sonystation? Because to get them you said to sign up for their newsletter...to make this clearer is sonystation sending them out to promote their game, because its lost a lot of popularity and they don't advertise well, I remember seeing like 4 ads when it was new. They really need to step up and offer more buddy keys and trials to get people into the game, I guess thats what all this talk about distributing keys is then. Thanks for answering mate-you don't have to answer all that I just sent, but maybe sometime post a messege that get this straightened out for the people like me who are just tuning in on all of this. The game looks really good-and this website is great, I've been checking some things out about the game-I've learned alot. I'll spread the word to my friends; telling them not to overlook MXO! Cheesy

Players, well i spose anyone, who signs up for the newsletter will receive 5 buddy keys to give to whomever they want.

Oh and Steps to play:

1. Retrieve buddy key code

2. Sign up for a free station account over at https://www.station.sony.com/secure/en/registration/registration.jsp?returnURL=http://www.station.sony.com/
3. Access your account at
https://secure.station.sony.com/eq2/accounts/station/EditLogin.m

4. Click 'add The Matrix Online'

5. When requested for a product key, enter your buddy key code

6. Make sure you DO NOT enter any credit card details, these are not required for the buddy trial period.

7. Download The Matrix Online client from
http://thematrixonline.station.sony.com/jackin/

8. Run the game and enter your station account name and password

9. Let the game patch

10. Create a character and get playing!
