"If there ever was a time..." Mibli said softly watching a large ship make it's way to dock. He held his gear on his shoulder and looked aound Zion. Some of the friends he made stood around him smiles across their faces. He was finally returning to the Matrix. After over a years time Mibli was going to jack in an load up for the new war.
I hope you know what you're doing Mib. Mibli's thoughts kept him nervous about his trip, though when the ramp to the Resurgo opened all was laid to rest. He realized how much he missed being on a ship with a crew. Even though he had grown accustomed to his life in Zion that feeling of freedom would probably never die out.
"You will be missed Mibli." a woman said placing a hand on his shoulder, "Just make sure you come back to us in one peice."
"Wouldn't have it any other way, "Mibli kissed her forehead and then knelt down to kiss her growing stomach from pregnancy, "I'll be back before you know it."
"Do you think
he'll come back with you?" She asked worridly.
"You know Soul, he can be just as stubborn as I am. Though I have to try and explain things to him face to face." Mibli said. He kissed her on the lips, "I'll do my best, Mayla."
Mibli looked to the others standing around. Smiling and waving he picked up his other bag on the floor and backed away towards the ship. Turning he heard the cheers and applause behind him as he made it to the ship's ramp. Upon entering it Mibli looked around and admired it's work.
"Why do I get the feeling I helped build this thing?" Mibli said to himself.
The ramp closed behind him and then he heard a voice echo out from the ship's speake system.
"Because, last I check you were a pretty good engineer." Denolus spoke out.
"Well, hello Deno." Mibli would've started his walk but he was unsure of which direction to go, "You know, when I heard that Zion had opened it's Captain's position to a program I had hoped it would be you, seems my hopes worked."
"Yes, though my claiming of this title and ship did not go without a fight to keep it." Denolus answered.
"The way of the world, Deno..." Mibli watched as a door opened across from him. He looked around and saw no one was there, "Uh..is your ship malfunctioning? Because I can take a lo--"
"No," Denolus laughed for a moment, "I have access to that sort of thing."
"Wow, so they built a program that you would use to gover the ship. Impressive and possibly creepy." Mibli laughed to himself. He followed the path to the door and continued to follow Deno's voice and opened doors to eventually lead him to a room.
"I hope you don't mind that I had some of your things from the Calypso brought over. Cicada kept them just in case you ever decided to step foot on a ship again." Denolus said.
Mibli looked around and saw that the room was arranged just like he had it aboard the Calpyso's Dream. If Deno was watching him from some sort of camera, Mibli might've shed a small tear of joy.
Might've."It's perfect, Deno. Thanks." Mibli placed his bags ont he bed and then turned to look at the door way. Hanging above it was his old painting with the words, "Sic Vis Pacem Para Bellum..." A part of him wanted to rip it down, but hen another part decided to leave it up. What it stood for outweighed some of the painful memories it brought.
"Perhaps you'd like to meet the crew." Denolus said.
"Think we can hold off on that for a moment?" Mibli asked. He was sure Denolus would understand.
"Sure. Take your time." Denolus let the door to Mibli's room close and Mibli assumed that was his way of letting him know he had left. But, how could a program that had access to the entire ship truly leave? Mibli shook his head away from the thought. He's just have to get used to Deno's eyes and ears being on him at all times. Atleast this time he wasn't intending on sneaking off anywhere. Mibli smirked at the thought.
"Welcome back, Mibli." Mibli opened his bag and removed his tool belt and othr gadets of his. He then took out a small chain made of metal and placed it on a small table by his bed. He smiled at it and use it as a driving force for what he was doing now and what he planned to do later...
