I'd like to know how many ppl actually own an HD player, first. lol.

The prices are still too high for mainstream consumption, especially anyone considering playing a game online. I think the cheapest set top box is still $500+(USD) and the cheapest HD DVD drive is roughly $600+(with no burning capabilites it will barely sell). Other than that, you gotta get your HD from the Xbox 360 and the ratio of ppl who own an Xbox360 and are willing to play or pay for an aging mmo is quite small.

But, it's the thought that counts.

Agreed Avat, there seems to be a big investment for HD quality, TV's, receivers, HD-DVD / Blu-ray players, The actualy HD disc's themselves, it can get quite costly for the average consumer. As of right now everything may still be a tad expensive but soon HD will become the norm, give it a few years. Although watching the matrix in HD would be total badass.

I have yet to see a movie in HD, I am sure there is a significant improvement, but...  if it is a good movie you will be paying attention to the plot, not the clarity.

Miss ya Avat.
