Well you've taken the Redpill  ... explored the slums (Richland) and now are getting at the point where you are exploring new districts.  But each time you move to these areas you get notified you've entered a Restricted Area and you think... oh no.

Well this isn't as bad as it seems and you can move around that district without any restrictions.  But that said the Matrix is a dangerous place and the fragile peace doesn't mean the machines want us moving around and causing trouble.

First thing you'll notice is a new feature appear in your navigation compass, this moving indicate moves from yellow to red ... and when it gets to red or close to it... then you're in trouble.  Because that means they machines have locked onto your RSI and Agent's will be forthcoming ... and death follows.

Now the key is to tap an ACCESS NODE.  What's an ACCESS NODE you say well an node contains a program that once activated is incorporated into your RSI code and thus 'blocking' your signal to the Agents in the area.  Now each area outside of Richland has one of these NODES and must be successfully tagged to gain you a lot less chance of Agents tracking you down in that open area.

But it's not as easy as that.  The ACCESS NODES are locked and you require a ACCESS KEY card to TAG them.  Now these KEYS must be found by looting certain exile gangs in the surrounding areas.  You'll find the keys for the southern areas of Westview on the gangs in Richland which should be easier to find.  Lemone is a good place to start and you'll find access keys to INTERNATIONAL district on these gangs also.

Finally the added bonus for tapping these NODES other than gaining un-restricted access to the area is that you also received a large XP bonus currently 80,000+

There is an Access Node guide here and a really nice one on the Vault.  I have confirmed the following post-CR-2.0:

THERE IS NO KEY IN LEMONE!  The key is in Dannah Heights instead, close to the Subway.  And by "close," I mean "two or three buildings away, on the roof."  A Bullet named Gabriel drops the key.

Another key exists in Mannsdale at street level, dropped by Buck.

The final key that I know of exists in Magog on a roof, dropped by Owl Bangheart.
