Well the Coder ability tree can be a strange and rewarding tree.  With at later stages your only source of higher end non core abilties.  But this branch of the abilities isn't for everyone, but for those who dable in it get a kick and those who seriously dive in can get a decent source of $i and code.  With this guide I hope to cover the programmer side of the tree.

As you know the Matrix world is all about data and that isn't more apparent then with the Coder Programmer where you take the basic building blocks (BITS) and create anything in the Matrix.

In the Guide I'm looking to include a full breakdown of the FRAGS required to make each object and the BITS required to make them.  Creating a complete list for at a glace viewing of what you need.  Will also hopefully cover the 'formula' for many items what FRAG you need and in turn you'll be able to work out what BITS you'll require and then if you're selling them work out an appropriate price.  But remember supply and demand is a major factor and if you've got something many people want .. then you are in a position to dictate you own price.

Will also include a step by step guide to getting an nearly unlimited supply of more BITS for little or no cost to you!

So stayed tuned!

Well the Basic format is now up.  Just need more content and the Coder Tools page.  I've open it to all visitors now.

I've added a 'Printer Friendly Version' link to each page so you can print off a better presented page for offline viewing.  But be sure to check back for update and such.

Whoa, looks awesome Smiley. Great job there. Really like it, though its much to read, but i am just a info cruncher and like it stripped down to pure data..hehe, but its a really great guide as the newbies out there (including me of course).

Would it be much work to adjust the frag table in a way that it would display the bits needed in a table 1 - 8? Was thinking to use it a reference for lookin fast which bits needed for a frag and now i have to actually "read" the tiny bitmaps. But if bitmap one would be in row one and bitmap 5 in row 5, i would just have to look at the "filled" rows for a fragment and would know which to hunt for much faster, but then again i might need glasses...Tongue

Thx.

Well the purpose of the guide that I was trying to create was an in depth guide that would try to cover as much as possible in detail so not to assume any knowledge is known by the reader.  It might be plain to those who know but for those who don't hopefully it will give them much needed knowledge.

For the column for each BIT I can only see an issue when the FRAG uses more than one of the same BIT.  But yes the BITS in their current size (due to resampling) can be of a challenge to read.  I reduced them from 32 pixels to 22 to keep them in line with other icons for my maps but might revert these back to the original size for ease of viewing.

Thank you for the input.  I still have to do the tools page, re-do some of the first coder section and the Maker sections.
