Dont know if its just me, but all the headers at the top of each forum are screwed up.
Just has this message for me.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/rumbaar/public_html/thematrix/header.php:33) in /home/rumbaar/public_html/thematrix/includes/page_header.php on line 529

Just a heads up in case no one else gets the same.

Running Norton's or any other Pop-up blocker? If so, you'll have to manually set the exceptions for this site as the header was done with a php script that auto-rotates on refresh or navigation of that page.

I am. And it's a server based error, not PC based. The problem is basically information such as cookie data is trying to be sent after the site's "header" information is sent. Obviously, cookie information and so forth must be sent before the HTML is sent as output. Unless you've changed the code at all in the last few days, this is an error with your host.

Still getting it, yes.
And my cookies settings have not changed recently, but this is the first problem I have had with the headers.

Oh...and its the same at work on their pc too.

I'd be interested to hear how the host can affect this. As I was geting that error since the day I re-installed, just recently, 'til my patience with Norton's dried up again. Now we're smooth sailing again. Can't just be a coincidence in timing, can it?

For some reason I wasn't getting this on my side of things, but I tried in IE after deleting cache and cookies.  Yeah it seems to be an error alright.

My host has moved me to a 'better' server (whatever that means) so this error might be due to permission that might have been changed at the host level.  I'll have to look into it.

The header is working for me. However, that brings it to mind now... Would you like me to create a static header now? My skills with Photoshop have improved a great deal. And those old banners feature too many with Sykin in them! Heh.

Good to hear.  But I think you're getting the header mixed up.  The header is the code html uses to generate the page details via separate files in php-nuke which is giving the issue.

Well the move to new hardware could be a cause of it as it'll take a while for the domain to settle back through the web as the "address" is now pointing somewhere slightly different. So it could also be a problem with ISPs and whatever cache's they use on their end. If you've done what you can to ensure the code is ok (lines 365, 366, 529, 531 and 532 each throw up errors for example), then it's probably just a case of waiting it out. I've not changed my firewall at all (no updates at all) so I know that's not a cause. Of course my ISP could have secretly upgraded the router firmware. They do that from time to time, but I've had no trouble with my ports and their upgrades usually reset them all. (which is a pain for me to then "reset" again as it involves a different PC and actually having to be physically next to the router.

But then again, seeing as I am not the only one with the problem I can rule out the firmware as a cause.

I also just tried disabling Norton Internet Security, no change for me.

Well I've not changed any of the files in months, so it's not anything I've done.  AvatRAMa made any changes?

I did find I had the error on my work PC and IE (tho not FireFox with old cache), so I hope it's a timing issue.  I'll wait a week or so and see.  As this exact theme I have on my games site and it's not returning any errors.

Sorry for the issues, to those experiencing it.

Nope , no changes on my end.

When I first re-installed I figured I was getting the error because of a firefox extension i had added. But that was about two months ago. And I have since deactivated all extension when the latest FF update went out, so that i could test the build from scratch. There was still the header error. All those extensions are back up and as I said, when I rid myself of the 'Rootkit' that is Norton's, it removed the error.

And yes, Chuui. I previously attempted the "Internet security" for Norton's. It's not that which causes this problem, I believe it's something else in the way Norton's allows parsing from headers. I even attempted disabling all of Norton's, but the only fix seemed to come from complete removal. (FYI, removal was not due to this site, Norton's has a funny way of dealing with alot and they're more willing to rip you off for support then to actually do anything about it!)

I'm failing to see how hardware would be the cause. Possibly a differnt file system, like from Win32 to a Linux system, etc. But I don't see how a hardware change server side effects HTML or XHTML coding. Could you elaborate?

Put simply Avat, it's like moving house. You have to redirect your mail to a new address. When you move a site to a new server (hardware) sometimes it's "address" (IP/whatever on the internal end) gets changed. This change then has to run through the internets tubes until everyone knows the new one. This is also kinda why subdomains can take up to 72 hours to work after you make them. Same sorta thing, but different reason.

As I can't see the errors on my end, are they still there?

Can you delete your browser cache and see if it continues.
