Title: I think, therefore I am... I think Post by: elvynmagik on December 23, 2007, 05:25:59 AM Ok, here's my question / idea to ponder.
Presuming the Matrix / MegaCity works just like real life, we tend to put serial numbers on just about anything these days. For instance, to go about purchasing a gun, you have to register with that particular weapons number associated with your name. But we see in the Construct in the first film, they can conjure miles of gun racks at a mouse click. Then as they turn the lobby to swiss cheese, they just drop one and reach for another. Since those guns came from the Construct, are they drawn from inside the Matrix somewhere, or what? Do they have serial numbers, or perhaps the same number repeated on each one. Or perhaps they are formed of some code that would perhaps fade after time, leaving the weapon to disappear before being reused or claimed as evidence. I'm using guns as an example, but the same stands for any item loaded from outside the Matrix rather than collected after entering. Trinity's motorcycle / IED on the guard shack. Cypher's cell phone in the trash can.Or Jue's cell phone at the end of "Final Flight of the Osiris", considering the source was destroyed. Or Jue's body itself. With all these battles in and out of the Matrix, what happens to the RSI inside when the source dies? If the body persists, then record checks should link it back to their Bluepill life. So yeah... there's my pondering. Any ideas to share? Title: Re: I think, therefore I am... I think Post by: Eoven on February 09, 2009, 08:35:53 AM hmm interesting thought but i think as for the codes on the weapons are just basicly programming as well the serials. since the matrix was created by a person then if based on our time the serial numbers have to be different but then again it could just be cloned one after another saving resources. if they did use serial numbers it would make it easier for the matrix system to track whom ever owns it but i guess they can't use that type of methods. The RSI thing i believe it gets deleted from the system or any events causing a day ja vu so ppl won't be suspicious. Don't think the RSI will be resurrected unless they are in the system itself in an event of dying they can resurrect causing it to be a bad dream or memory loss. Since being in the hovercraft that is not possible since the mind makes it real oddly enough. If the RSI were to be resurrected from death on the hovercraft then it would not be alive more of a programing thing. Excuse my oddly writing since i am just brainstorming and talking what ever comes to mind ^^
